DOGGY DETAILS

As dog lovers ourselves, and proud slaves to Dudley, Ziggy and Sata – we truly understand why a holiday with your dog (s) along can be so enjoyable. Having said that, over the years we have also experienced many dog friendly holiday houses that are not so ideal! We think you’ll find gibsons, and our area very dog friendly all round.

gibsons is a true dog friendly house – the kind that allows your mates (s) to relax by your feet, or on a dog bed, inside or outside. As long as dogs are dried if wet, and cleaned if dirty, they are welcome inside gibsons. We do however ask that dogs on holiday at gibsons are fully vaccinated, flea and tick treated, are not allowed on furniture, are well behaved, and not left for prolonged periods of time. A bored dog is not a happy dog, and we would appreciate you being mindful of other holiday makers, and residents in the area. In the not too distant future, gibsons will offer a boutique dog minding service, on a beautiful, spacious property 5 minutes from the house. In the meantime, let us know if you plan on leaving your dog for a prolonged period of time, and we would be happy to pop in to check on them, throw the ball, make sure they have water etc. Mobile dog grooming, and hydro bathing is available in our area – see all things Doggie in the Welcome Book.

A secure garden with shaded area gives you peace of mind while you are away for the afternoon. A dog door fixed into the back door of the house allows dogs to go in and outside at free will. If you would rather your dog stay outside, a simple latch can be switched to limit access to outside only.

Two trampoline beds, mats, dog bowls, and water bowls are provided in the garden. Feel free to bring the beds out on to the deck – or bring your own.
